We have a wonderful Sunday School program here at Ambassador Baptist Church. We have a class for all ages from Beginners to Senior Adults. We use only the King James Bible and material that uses only King James verses in our teaching ministry.

Nursery (Newborn-1 year) – Mrs. Terri Coffey, Mrs. Audrey Setzer

A staffed nursery is available for newborns through age one for Sunday School.  Children are taught age appropriate stories and songs.  Nursery is also available for worship services.

Nothing serves as so precious a reminder of God's blessing to us as the birth of a child. Every newborn baby should have the joy and privilege of being brought into a true Christian home. It is the responsibility of the local church nursery and preschool ministry to provide all the help possible to parents as they seek to serve the Lord, bring their children to church, and teach their children to know God.

Toddlers (Ages 2-3) – Mrs. Judy Hamby

Pre Primary (Ages 4-5) – Mrs. Dreama Abernethy

Jesus loves the little children. And Ambassador does, too. Our Preschool Ministry is a nurturing place where caring adults show children God’s love in a warm, clean, and safe environment.  Children are assigned to preschool rooms based on their date of birth. They are loved and cared for in their classroom allowing their parents to attend Sunday School without worry or concern.

Primary (Ages 6-8) – Mrs. Sandra Setzer

Junior (Ages 9-12) – Mrs. Pat Caudill

Ambassador is committed to partnering with you as a parent, helping your children discover the bright future that is ours through Jesus Christ. We understand the unlimited potential in each and every child, and we seek to provide the kind of love, acceptance, example, and teaching that will help your child be all that God wants him or her to be.

REAL FAITH Teens (Ages 13+) – Youth Pastor Shawn Davis

Under the dynamic teaching of our Youth Pastor, Shawn Davis, REAL FAITH provides Bible book, character, and topical studies to help junior and senior high students develop a truly Christ-honoring lifestyle and demonstrate REAL FAITH. This class challenges today's students to follow the right path and to make Biblical choices. Principles are taught that can be applied to living a victorious Christian life; e.g., obeying God's commands; moving forward by faith; remembering that sin always has a price. Current Issues in the Light of God's Word are also dealt with in REAL FAITH.  God’s Word has answers to today's issues, such as war, homosexuality, postmodernism, substance abuse, the media, and suicide.

Couples Class – Mr. Ken Terry

This vibrant class is made up of young married couples ranging in their twenties to forties. Many couples have young children. The Couples Ministry helps you strengthen your relationship with God, with your mate, and with other couples like you. You will discover how God’s Word applies to your marriage, family, work, and life. You and your spouse will share experiences that will help you grow spiritually as individuals and as a family.

Adult Men’s – Mr. Gary Austin

Adult Women’s – Mrs. Alma Calloway

At the core of every individual’s life is a need for relationships—with God and with God’s people. Ambassador’s Adult Ministries help you strengthen your relationship with God and others. These dynamic classes are for men and women from all walks of life who share common desires for developing sincere and warm friendships, to grow in their love for God, and a willingness to be doers of the Word, and not hearers only. These classes and other activities help you to not only know about God, but really know Him.

Auditorium – Mr. Dan Kistler

This class meets in our Church Auditorium. This serving-oriented, active class is made up of Adult singles, couples; many with grown children - to proud grandparents. Lessons each week focus on either a book of the Bible or topical studies from Scripture. The teaching format is lecture oriented with opportunities for discussion given. This also serves as our "catch all" class when people come in to visit or arrive a little too late to disrupt their own class.

History Lesson:  The founding of Sunday School is more commonly associated with the work of Robert Raikes, editor of the Gloucester Journal, who saw the need to prevent children in the slums descending into crime. By 1831, Sunday School in Great Britain was ministering weekly to 1,250,000 children, approximately 25 percent of the population.

Why attend? People of all ages grow in faith, knowledge and vision.  Whether you are two or fifty-two Sunday School is a place for personal and spiritual growth, and guides in discovering and applying Bible truths.  Sunday School is the most wasted hour of the week ONLY for those people who do not attend!
